has over 25 years’ property investment, development and
project management experience. Until 1994 he was a Director of
Grosvenor Square Properties Group Plc with special responsibilities
for property development activities on large mixed use projects
such as the Capital Waterside development in Cardiff Bay. That
scheme, in particular, involved complex negotiations with a wide
variety of interest groups and both Local and Regional Government
Agencies and officials. The projects included Office, Retail,
Residential, Leisure and Industrial uses.
In 1994,
he commenced trading on his own account forming David Griffiths & Co.
providing development management services for a number of institutional
and private clients including the Oxford Science Park Joint Venture
(Magdalen College & Prudential Assurance) for whom Horstonbridge
continue to act. To date nine projects have been completed at
the Science Park, having a total construction value in excess
of £45m. Further projects have also been taken to the planning
stage.
